Two centuries after Beethoven's death, his influence remains profound. Concert pianist Rachel Franklin explores Beethoven's groundbreaking concertos, from the piano concertos and Choral Fantasy to the Triple Concerto and Violin Concerto. In a four-part series, she examines how Beethoven expanded the concerto form, transformed public performance, and helped define Romantic musical expression. When deafness ended his performing career, his concerto output ceased, leaving a remarkable legacy of innovation and dramatic artistry.
