Discover Summer: Music Jamboree

Kick off your summer reading adventure with the Discover Summer Music Jamboree! Families are invited to enjoy a morning of interactive performances featuring musical story times with your favorite librarians, children’s musicians and cultural storytellers. Sing, laugh, and move along with a special Music and Movement story time. Then explore science through song with Marsha and the Positrons, whose clever original music combines science facts with messages about kindness, friendship, and curiosity. The Jamboree concludes with “Talk with Your Hands,” an engaging Indian Classical Dance and storytelling performance by Praneetha Akula. Through movement, rhythm, music, and stories, participants will learn about Indian culture, geography, history, and traditions while discovering how dance can bring stories to life. This free family event is filled with music, movement, storytelling, and hands-on audience participation. Recommended for children and their caregivers.
